Hong Kong has transformed from a small fishing port into today's international metropolis, and the hard work of our construction craftsmen cannot be overlooked. Many well-known streets and architectural landmarks in Hong Kong were built by members of the Hong Kong Construction Association (hereinafter referred to as the Association). Coinciding with its 105th anniversary, the Association will hold a series of events in July, including the 'Hong Kong Construction Association 105th Anniversary and Lu Ban Festival 2025'. On July 4th, 14th, and 21st, three 'Construction Association Lu Ban Rice Ball Coffee Party' events will be held at Statue Square in Central, connecting with the community and offering 1,000 cups of aromatic coffee, tea, or juice, as well as 300 refreshing and healthy rice balls, to the public. This event aims to encourage Hong Kongers to take a break from their busy work lives and enjoy a refreshing treat outdoors. It also showcases the traditional custom of 'treating the master craftsmen' during the Lu Ban Birthday Celebration in a stylish manner.
Continuing to Award the 'Hong Kong Construction Association Lu Ban Scholarship' to Nurture New Talent
In late July, the Association will host the industry's annual celebration, the 'Hong Kong Construction Association Lu Ban Birthday Celebration Dinner'. During the dinner, the 'Hong Kong Construction Association Lu Ban Scholarship' will be awarded to 10 deserving university students, who will be invited to attend the dinner in person and share their joy with the guests. The successful implementation of the Hong Kong Construction Association Lu Ban Scholarship will help cultivate young people who are dedicated to the industry's development and giving back to society. This encouragement will motivate them to join the industry after graduation and contribute their talents to building a better Hong Kong.
* A total of 1,000 cups of coffee, tea, or juice, and 300 refreshing and healthy rice balls will be given out to encourage everyone to recharge and stay connected with the community.
